Before I dabbled into the world of web design, I was a blogger! So creating Showit templates for bloggers is one of my favorites styles to make. I have 2 blog templates so far; Beach Babe and the new The Style Studio. I always make sure there is a blog section when designing a Showit template, but these 2 are geared more towards bloggers.
I know I say this each time I launch a new website template, but The Style Studio is my favorite so far! This is probably because it is totally my aesthetic! Lots of neutrals! Remember though, you can always customize and change the colors to match your own branding.
So let me introduce to you; The Style Studio!
Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a commission if you click a link and purchase something.
When I was designing this template, I had modern, moody, and minimal in mind (all my favorites!). The stock photos used are mostly neutral or black and white, giving off the moody vibe that I was going for. The text and color boxes are all in neutral shades as well.
You can definitely keep all these neutral colors, however, don’t let that stop you from using other colors if you want to. Showit makes it super simple to customize everything including the colors used.
A lot of bloggers use affiliate marketing when blogging so I wanted to make sure I added places where you can link your favorite products with your affiliate links. There are a couple of sections spread throughout the home page and other pages of the template. All you need to do is switch out the image to the product your linking, and add your affiliate link under the “Click Actions” setting. Super easy!
You can also add in a shopping widget from RewardStyle or ShopStyle Collective by using an embedded box in Showit, then delete the original images from the template. Either way, start earning that affiliate money, honey!
I always make sure to create a spot to add in a sign-up form when creating a Showit template. It’s so important to start an email list when blogging or running a business. My email marketing platform of choice is Flodesk. I used to use Mailchimp, but it was not user-friendly at all. I was always confused about how to use the platform even after reading multiple tutorials on how to use it.
Flodesk is super user-friendly and they have tons of templates to choose from.
Every page includes a space to add in your Instagram feed. When you purchase the template, you will receive instructions on how to create and add in an Instagram widget to the template.
The Style Studio template doesn’t have a traditional menu bar, it has a unique popout-styled menu. Once you click the “closed menu” icon (pictured left), an “open menu” (pictured right) popout will appear with navigation links. The popout menu design is similar to the mobile menu style.
When you purchase a website template, you will receive a PDF download with everything you need to customize the template exactly how you want it! The PDF comes with a key code to input into your Showit account that gives you access to the website template. You’ll also get step-by-step directions on how to customize each aspect of the template.
Are you ready to finally have a blog design that you can customize exactly how you want it?! Showit makes it so easy to customize templates to your taste and aesthetic.
