Whether you’re creating social media graphics, collages, or website pages, adding different textures can bring dimension and realism to your graphic design projects.
If you create high-resolution png images, they can be scaled to larger sizes, depending on what kind of graphic design project you are working on.
Some examples of different types of textures you can create are; tape pieces like in the photo above, paint strokes, glitter, ripped paper, and crumpled paper.
I really wanted to start creating more professional design elements, so I decided to take Jen Wagner’s texture pack creation course. She goes in-depth with step-by-step directions on how to create 3 different texture packs. Her directions are recorded on video so you are able to see exactly how she makes everything.
She goes over all the materials needed, the initial creation of the textures, scanning them in, editing in Photoshop, and even creating product images to use for selling the textures. She really knows what she’s doing which is why I highly recommend checking out the course.
